Kapolei Challenge 5K: Event Details

When and Where?

8/21/2020 Fri. Statehood Day (State Holiday)
@Kapolei Regional Park

What is included?

Every runner will receive a tshirt, race bib number and official time.

Course

You run 3 loops inside Kapolei Regional Park. Each loop is approx. 1.05 miles. Total 3.1 miles (5K).

*The course is half on grass, half on asphalt. Please wear appropriate footwear.

** No strollers. No pets allowed.

Social Distancing

We will follow social distancing guidelines. Therefore, we are only allowing 50 runners. Every runner must wear a mask before and after the race (no mask during the race). During check-in runners will line up 6ft apart from each other. Moreover, we will stagger the start so that only one runner starts at a time.

Chip Timing

Every runner will receive a race bib number with a disposable timing chip attached. Once the runner crosses the start line the time will start and once the runner finishes the race their time will stop.

Who is USATF?

USA Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track and field, long-distance running, and race walking in the United States. Our race is sanctioned by USATF.

Awards

Top Male and Female receive an award (delivered to them after the race).
Fastest lap time will receive an award.
No age group awards.

*To enforce social distancing we will not have an award ceremony. Results will be posted online in real-time.

Restrictions

>You must be at least 10 years of age on race day.
>No strollers/no pets please.
>No barefoot or open shoes. Please wear appropriate running shoes.
